Avinash Mishra

Avinash Mishra did his schooling from Varanasi, after which he moved to Dehradun in 2001 where he did his graduation. He started learning music when he was 4 years old from his great grandfather, late Pandit Hanuman Prasad Mishra ji, who is a great sarangi player and vocalist too. He is still learning from his grandfathers, Padam Bhusan Pandit Rajan Mishra ji and Pandit Sajan Mishra ji, they are known as Mishra Bandhu in the music fraternity. For last 9 years, I have been teaching vocal at Viram Gurukul, the gurukul of the Mishra Bandhu. He has performed in Harsh Utsav in 2008 and in a few schools. Recently, he has taught at DPS Dehradun on their annual function. He is passionate about composing music and his compositions works like tarana in rag jog.
