Sehjo Singh did her schooling from St. Thomas Girls Senior Secondary School, Delhi. Thereafter, she did BA & MA in Political Science from Delhi University and then did her MA in Mass communication from Jamia Milli Islamia. Since her college days she became active in social movements on Women's rights and secular democracy. She has worked as an independent film maker for more than twenty years. The subject of her movies revolved around critical issues of land struggles and right to education, trying to find newer and different ways of connecting social movement and society. Thereafter, she worked for renowned organizations like National Centre of Advocacy Studies as an Executive Director and ActionAid India as Director Programmes and Policy for 9 years. She is working as a Mission Specialist for Industree Foundation and International Trade Centre, Ethiopia, Africa.
